You.

Did you catch that?

You were probably waiting for a long introduction. (I’m guilty of those sometimes)

Not today.

If you have a product, service, or opportunity that you want people to either buy or join because you’re convinced that it’s the most amazing thing EVER you need to accept something…

… you’re not alone.

There are piles of competitors (people just like you) in your space (selling the same kind of things you are) who think there stuff is the most amazing thing EVER.

Let’s put it this way.

There are piles of people in your space who are convinced they have the…

Best product.

Best service.

Best support.

Best compensation plan.

Best technology.

Best culture.

Dang, if this is true, how do you stand out?

The # 1 Thing That Sets You Apart From Everyone Else

People don’t just buy your product.

People don’t just join your company.

They buy and join YOU.

That is why the single most important investment you will EVER make in your business is in yourself.

From the books you read, the audio’s you listen to, the conferences you attend… those investments are designed to ultimately do one thing, to make YOU better. You can go out and sell more stuff and have more people join you over your competitors because you’re just more attractive to the marketplace.

And don’t get me wrong. Data, advertising, metrics, etc… the tactics stuff is all important. But if you’ve been in this game of marketing and sales long enough you’ve seen one of the strangest things…

Person X who doesn’t invest in working on themselves runs say $5K in ad spend on Facebook.

Person Y who makes investing in the better of themselves a #1 priority runs the same $5K in ad spend on Facebook.

They are running similar ads, into similar funnels, with similar products.

Person Y crushes it. The results are HUGE. Person X, not so much.

The Marketplace Can Smell You From A Mile Away

If you’ve ever spent 5 minutes around someone who has made developing themselves a priority it’s obvious. They engage differently, respond to problems differently, what they talk about and how they talk about it is TOTALLY different than someone who hasn’t invested in themselves.

And this is what the marketplace can smell.

In your ad copy, emails, videos, they sense it and if given the choice, they will fall on the side of the person who has invested in themselves.

Best Places To Start

Working on yourself doesn’t have to be some complicated science project. Here are just are two ideas that are simple and frankly life changing if you stick with them.

Read 10 Pages Of A Book Every Single Day.

There’s no shortage of lists of great reads for entrepreneurs. Do a search on Medium and you’ll find plenty. If you’re reading anything by Jim Rohn, Zig Ziglar, Tony Robbins, Les Brown, Steven Pressfield, Grant Cardone… you’re reading a good book.

Create and Listen To Your Own Success Soundtrack

In case you haven’t noticed there’s a thing called Podcasts. They are amazeballs. Here’s my best advice on this. Pick a few podcasts that are centric to your niche (more skill specific) and then pick a few that are more mindset/attitude oriented. Listen while you’re doing other stuff. Driving, working out, doing chores. Have that soundtrack play long enough and before you know it, your thinking will change for the better. And you’ll be better.

Remember…

People don’t just join your company.

People don’t just buy the product.

They join and buy you.

Before You Go

I’m excited to work with the best and brightest. I’m doing it inside of this project right here. You may be in career transition, looking for a new gig, or maybe you just landed here but are curious. Take a look at this and let’s talk.
